- Om [oh-mmm or Ah-uu-mmm]: the sound of all living things and all spiritual energy, the root mantra of all mantra. This sound is considered the sound of existence, the whole universe, in its fundamental form, is made up of vibrating, pulsating energy. Om is the humming sound of this cosmic energy. This sound of OM produces instant positive vibrations and takes the listener to a state of true calm. Chanting the OM mantra for 15 minutes daily can produce remarkable effects in you. This mantra will help you to calm the mind, settle the thought process and realize the self.
- Jai ma [jay mah]: an expression of honoring (jai) mother earth (ma), the provider of life
- Om namah shivaya [oh-mmm nah-mah shee-vi-yah]: bowing to the light, a prayer that says, "Show me the way. Also known as the great redeeming mantra. Shiva is the supreme reality, the inner Self. It is the name given to consciousness that dwells in all.
- Om Lokaha Samastaha Sukhino Bhavantu: Peace and happiness to all beings
- Om namo Nara naya naya – peace mantra
- Om Shri Maha Lakshmyai namah – lakshmi, the form of god as the ever giving mother, source of all blessings and wealth, especially the blessings of inner peace and spiritual prosperity.
- Om namo bhagavate vasudevaya – a prayer to the divine teacher, krishna
- Om Shri Durgayai namah – Durga, the divine protector
- Om Gam Ganapataye namah (ganesha, the remover of obstacles and bestower of success)
- Om bhur'bhuvah svah tatsavitur varenyam bhargo devasya dhimahi dhiyo yo nah prachodyat: Gayatri is a mantra which inspires wisdom. It means that God may illuminate our intellect, which may lead us on the righteous path. In short it is a prayer to the Creator, the essence of our life existence.
- So ham (Pronounced as So' Hum') The natural mantra -"I am That".
the mantra of your true self. So ham is inherent in everybody, it repeats itself continually, along with our breathing. It is said that as long as this mantra keeps going on inside us, there is life in the body. As soon as it stops, we are no more. as your breath goes out and comes in, it produces two tiny sounds. The heart is considered as the source of So'ham. It is from the heart that the syllables of 'So' and 'Ham' arise, and again in the heart that they subside.

- Om Sri Rama Jaya Rama, Jaya, Jaya Rama (ohm sree ramah jah-yah ram-ah jah-yah, jah-yah ram-ah) To enable one to live a divine life within a human body. This mantra was used by Mahatma Gandhi for over 60 years.
- Om Sharavana-bhavaya Namaha (ohm sha-ra-van-a bha-vai-ya) To brighten and increase the positive effects of everything in your life.
- Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha (gah-tay gah-tay pah-rah gay-tay pah-rah-sahm gah-tay bow-dee svah-hah). To go beyond all illusion to the ultimate reality of the divine.
- Om Shanti (ohm shahn-tee) om peace
- Om mani padme hum (ohm mah-nay pahd-may hoom) For opening the heart center and developing compassion.
- Shivo ham (shi-voh-hum) To awaken to one's own spirituality.
- Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Svāhā Tara – deepening ones compassion, To liberate oneself from fears.
