Kind Yoga teacher training teaches "Hatha Yoga" - with a focus on "ahimsa and karuna", attention to kindness and compassion with the self and others. Patanjalis Sutras, a 2000 year old text on yoga, describes "Ahimsa" as the first yama on the eight fold path.
Developing a compassionate attitude is a good place to begin with the study of hatha yoga. We consider the attitude of compassion the first "alignment principle" For more information click here.

What People Are Saying about Kind Yoga Teacher Training
A mere thank you can never be enough for the gift of peace of spirit you have given me"
Denise Davis, Kind Yoga TT graduate
"Over the last 26 years I have watched yoga unfortunately becoming a Type A commodity. I have witnessed many injuries happening in the name of yoga. My colleague Diane Kovanda has created a miracle on Cape Cod: Kind Yoga Teacher Training: my dream come true.
Diane Kovanda's Kind Yoga Teacher Training is everything I would want in a training. If I were a new student in yoga or a yoga trainee today, Kind Yoga would be my practice and Diane would be my teacher. Why? Because Diane understands compassion, she is METTA, loving kindness.
Diane's training is brilliant, her teaching methods are delightful: a combination of intelligence, passion, caring, understanding. She invites wonderful visiting teachers to round out the curriculum, such as Dr Kumara Sidhartha. The trainees truly get a remarkable 200 hour teacher training.
I could NOT be happier for Cape Cod. I could not be happier for the yoga community. Diane Kovanda's Kind Yoga is a gem."

"Diane simply creates a community of people being present to an incredible, kind, sacred safe space of practicing ones individual personal hatha yoga experience, following her unique, & loving guidance. While participating in a supportive "community" beyond compare, just what the world needs more of ... to be welcomed on our own two bare feet, get to "see" them & perhaps get to "know" them ... once again. Wow!" Virginia Anne Kolvek, Cotuit, MA -YTT 2010
